Privacy Policy

The short version
PurgeKit scans your Mac on your Mac. We never receive file names, folders, file contents or scan results. We keep only what we need to run your account and subscription.
Who is responsible
AzimuthForge LLP, India (“we”). Contact: support@purgekit.example. This address is also our grievance contact under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we keep
- Your email address — to sign you in and send sign-in codes.
- A scrambled Mac ID — a one-way code made on your Mac, so we can count your Macs. The real hardware ID never leaves your Mac.
- Your Mac name and model — so you can tell your Macs apart in “Your Macs” — and when each Mac was last seen.
- Mac moves — when you signed out a Mac, so we can apply the monthly move limit.
- Trial usage — when your trial started and how many bytes PurgeKit removed during it.
- Subscription status — your plan, status, renewal date, Paddle customer ID and Paddle subscription and event IDs, which Paddle sends us.
- Sign-in records — sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only as scrambled hashes. For each sign-in code request we keep the email address, IP address and time to stop abuse — even if you never finish signing in.
What we never collect
File names, folder paths, file contents, what you remove, or anything else from a scan.
Who helps us (processors)
- Paddle — sells PurgeKit as Merchant of Record and handles payments, tax and invoices. Paddle has its own privacy policy for the details you give at checkout.
- Resend — sends sign-in code emails.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and our account service and database, and provides cookie-free visitor statistics.
These services may process data outside India. We use them under their data-protection terms.
AI Advisor
The AI Advisor runs only when you ask. It sends a short description of the items you asked about — such as their names, sizes and folders — to the provider you chose: Ollama on your own Mac, your Claude Code account, or your own API key. It goes straight from your Mac to that provider; we never see it.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Sign-in request records are kept to protect the service from abuse. When you ask us to delete your account we delete it, including your sign-in request records, within 30 days, except records Paddle or we must keep for tax and accounting law.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies, the EU/UK GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and complain — to us first, then to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data-protection authority. Email support@purgekit.example from your sign-in address.
Children
PurgeKit is not meant for children under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you by email or in the app.
